Qualifications/ 任职要求
1.    Master or above, with major in cementitious materials, relevant polymer experience is preferred.
2.    Minimum 1-3 years work experience.

2. (70%) IMP projects and relevant activities:
    
-    Project: Be involved into on-going & planned projects (battery material, granulation, centrifugal processing).  Define role aligned to project goal, and deliver output

3. (10%) Techno watch & exploration
-    Be connected to Central R&D/ APAC SG biz, and try to catch (potential) demand

Job Requirements:
1.  Master degree or above, majored in Material, Chemical Engineering, or Inorganic Chemistry. 
2. Candidates with experience in industrial or R&D are preferred. Experience in battery industry is a plus.
3. Fluent English.

To support CA business growth in Asia Pacific, develop new cloth based coated abrasive products, provide technical supports to CA plants, and build core technology competency at SGR Shanghai.

Grinding Technology Research Engineer 磨削研发工程师

Objective of the Position / 岗位目标
Carry out projects that support regional businesses aligning with global processes, leading to advancement of surface preparation technology and products.
Principal Accountabilities ( % of time, Responsibility)/ 主要职责(时间占比、工作职责)
1. (5%) Comply with the related EHS laws and SGRS policies; understand the lab specificities related to MSDS, Risk Assessment, SOP LOTO and PPE usage; Have a sense for the manufacturing and machine operation and other aspects related to smooth operations.
2. (40%) Lead internal research projects in CGTC:  
A: Study the performance of the grinding system (abrasives, work piece, grinder, grinding parameters). Use skills like modeling, statistical analysis, digital skills, etc to build test methods that simulate customer applications. Develop a deeper technical understanding of application of Abrasive systems for Surface Preparation of Materials (High speed grinding, Superprecision grinding, Steel conditioning, sanding & polishing, robotic grinding, etc.).
B: Manage the R&D project (conforming to the budget, timeline) and update the progress to the management level. 
3. (30%) Lead external collaborative research projects:
Lead projects with external collaborators like Universities, Research Institutes, OEMs and end customers. The objective is to target development of strategic and tactical, medium and long term competencies for CGTC that helps Saint-Gobain Abrasives (SGA) APAC and WW to develop key strengths needed to cater to the emerging market opportunities. 
4. (15%) Actively develop skills through self-learning, training and other efficient and effective avenues. Utilize these skills to address the project needs and also to train and develop the talent pool within CGTC, global GTC and SGA APAC. 
5. (10%) Work on specific tasks as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications/ 任职要求
1.    Master degree or Ph.D. Mechanical background, mechanical manufacturing or mechatronics majors are preferred.
2.    Be familiar with the machine construction, mechanical transmission. In addition, the machine diagnostics knowledge is preferred. Grinding technology is also preferred 
3.    Good English, communication and problem solving skills
4.    Open to travel on business 1-2 times per month (for 2-3 days) based on the project.

Responsible for providing high-quality solid mechanics computer simulation and theory analysis results in support of the Saint-Gobain Research (Shanghai) Center.

Model Development and Set-Up (45%).  Develop and apply state-of-the-art simulation methods (finite element, analytic, closed-form) to establish thermo/optical/mechanical condition of materials/products in process/application.
