ZirPro exhibited in China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2018)

2018-05-29

From the 22nd to 24th of May, 2018, the 13rd China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2018), co-organized by both China Industrial Association of Power Sources and Tianjin Institute of Power Sources, opens in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. This faire holds every two years. CIBF 2018 exhibition area is 110,000 square meters, 30% increase than that in 2016, and all occupied by more than 1250 domestic and foreign exhibitors, an increase of 10% than previous one. The numbers of participants and visitors reached 60,000.

During the three exhibition days, Saint-Gobain ZirPro (Handan) Co., Ltd showed complete milling media solutions for Lithium battery industry. The high performance beads designed and produced by ZirPro, Zirmil Y, are recommended to grind the key materials in lithium battery : LFP and precursors, LTO, Si/C anode, CNTs, graphene, battery separator, etc. During the exhibition, ZirPro launched to the battery market its Fine Zirmil Y with bead-size only 0.05mm and 0.1mm, which can grind the electronic materials to the Nano-scale, for example for the Si/C anode materials in the battery can improve efficiently their energy density.

According to the statistical and analysis by China Industrial Association of Power Sources, the sales revenue of lithium ion batteries in China reached 158.9 billion yuan in 2017, an increase of 19.5% compared with 2016. Benefiting by the rapid development of xEV battery market and energy storage battery market, China has become the world’s largest xEV battery market for three consecutive years, accounting for more than 50% of the global share. Therefore, market arise some higher requirements, such as higher safety, higher consistency, higher qualified ratio, and lower manufacturing cost. Saint-Gobain ZirPro can provide to customers various grinding medias and professional technical support according to different applications, helping them to increase the capacity of energy storage while reduce the manufacturing cost.
