JD Building Materials Business On-Line, Saint-Gobain Becomes One of the 1st Batch of Strategic Partners

On May 31, JD Home Decoration business officially launched its on-line building materials business. Xin Lijun, VP of JD and Head of the Home Decoration business, presented the rapid development path (100% annual growth) of its on-line business since the launching in 2011 and the importance of the on-line building materials business in its holistic home decoration strategy.

Basic building materials occupy 50% of the total building materials market with the value of 2200 b yuan. The official launching of its building materials on-line business is a good start, demonstrating JD's dedication on the integration of this huge market.

As one of the 1st batch of strategic partners, Saint-Gobain witnessed the launching ceremony together with representatives from other domestic and international prestigious building materials companies and the China Home Decoration Association. Hanson Wang, CDO of Saint-Gobain in Asia-Pacific, attended the launching and the strategic cooperation agreement signature ceremony.
