2019-07-01

As a part of the Chinese government strategy to boost the transformation of its economic model, last week of June took place in Nanjing the China “Tech Week”.
Through this international event China has made again obvious its strong determination to make of innovation and technology the main drivers of the new Chinese economy.
The huge event brought together innovative minds from all over the world to exchange groundbreaking ideas in a series of summits, exhibitions and conferences.
The opening ceremony gathered 9 Nobel Awards and numerous Chinese and multi-national companies, Universities, research institutes and start-ups.
During the same ceremony Saint-Gobain was invited to give a key note speech and share with the large audience our model of innovation.
As Javier Gimeno stressed during his presentation, innovation is the key ingredient of both the identity and the strategy of Saint-Gobain. He also explained that “our long-lasting history can only be explained by our ability to permanently re-invent ourselves, our products and our technologies. The main common element between Saint-Gobain today and the Company founded in 1665 is our passion for innovation”.
