On November 12, SGR Shanghai grandly held its 20th Anniversary Celebration with the theme “Shaping your future with our innovation”. Management representatives from Saint-Gobain Group, Asia Regional Office and various Businesses, Consul General of France in Shanghai and officials from Minhang District, Shanghai Land Minhong, the French Chamber of Commerce together with various associations, jointly witnessed this significant moment.
Four short films, "Our Development Path", "Our Competencies", "Our Team", and "Our Contributions to Saint-Gobain Businesses", were played during the celebration. The comprehensive review of the twenty-year journey of SGR Shanghai highlighted their unwavering conviction that research-driven achievements empower businesses to thrive in a fast-changing market. It also allowed employees to experience the company’s genuine care and warmth. SGR Shanghai remained customer-centric, aligning closely with business needs and driving growth through professionalism and innovation.
At the ceremony, remarks were delivered by Alain ZANOLI, Vice President Innovation Asia; Anne HARDY, Global Chief Innovation Officer; Ludovic WEBER, Chief Executive Officer Asia; ZHANG Zhixiong, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Land Minhong; and Joan VALADOU, Consul General of France in Shanghai. They acknowledged the achievements of SGR Shanghai and expressed strong confidence in its future development.
Amid a collective countdown, Joan VALADOU, Minhang Commerce Commission Deputy Director Hu Junying, Minhang Science and Technology Commission Deputy Director Zhao Ziqiang, Anne HARDY, Ludovic WEBER and Alain ZANOLI together activated the ball-shaped device which symbolizes the next chapter of innovation for SGR Shanghai.
The celebration was also featured with three booths: Smartphone Innovation Zone, Electric Vehicle Innovation Zone and Innovation Building Materials Zone. All participants engaged in active discussions and had the opportunity to experience first-hand the cutting-edge products and technologies developed by each business.
With two decades of dedicated effort paid off, SGR Shanghai now sets sail on a new journey. The employees of SGR Shanghai are committed to collaborating with all businesses units, moving forward with determination, and working together achieve further success in the next twenty years.
