On April 17th, Ludovic WEBER, CEO Asia, led several business leaders to visit the global headquarters of BYD Group located in Shenzhen. Eloi GUENET, General Manager of Sekurit Asia, Brian JIN, Managing Director of Construction Chemicals China, and Totem SUN, Managing Director of Joinleader, attended together.
Representatives of BYD’s management warmly welcomed the Saint-Gobain group. At the beginning of the meeting, Ludovic and his team toured BYD’s showroom and tech exhibition hall, gaining comprehensive insights into BYD's history and manufacturing technologies while personally experiencing several vehicle models. In the following discussions, BYD expressed gratitude for Saint-Gobain's continued support as a supplier, mentioning the compatibility of BYD and Saint-Gobain's visions for sustainable development, indicating potential for collaboration in the energy decarbonization process.
The business leaders from Saint-Gobain introduced the group’s diverse businesses, which span automotive glass, adhesives & sealants, construction chemicals, and grinding… Ludovic emphasized that Saint-Gobain's extensive global business layout can strongly support Chinese companies in expanding overseas markets and promoting global operations. There is also broad space for cooperation in professional technical innovation, and technical teams should have more opportunities for exchanges.
Chuanfu WANG, Chairman and President of BYD, visited the display vehicle brought by the Saint-Gobain Sekurit team, further understanding Saint-Gobain's latest safety glass technology. He also posed for photos with Ludovic and his team, exchanging mementos.
This interaction among senior management between Saint-Gobain and BYD was targeted and productive. The strong partnership not only deepens collaboration in the Chinese market but also creates new possibilities for joint expansion in global markets.
