On 3rd Sep 2017, Javier Gimeno, General Delegate for Saint-Gobain Asia-Pacific, was invited to attend The 1st Annual Meeting of Jinan Mayor’s International Economic Consultation Commission (IECC) and assumed the first Executive President, aimed at helping Jinan’s open up.
IECC, held in Jinan, Shandong province, was on the subject of “Challenges and Solutions to the transformation of Jinan from Old to New Energy”, with the participation of 21 enterprise executives from Fortune Global 500 companies and specialists from emerging industry leading companies and well-known foreign consultation service organizations.
Mr. Gimeno promises, together with other members, to put forward recommendations and suggestions which will contribute to the sustainable development of economy and society and to coordinate development of people and nature in Jinan city, to introduce successful experiences suiting for the city, to expand information channels and broaden mind for decision-making. Furthermore, together with his committee, he will attract more investors and promote the exchange and cooperation between Jinan and international enterprises and relevant institutes, thereby constantly improving Jinan’s competitiveness, innovation and opening-up level.
