On July 20th, Zou Ruyu, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai E-commerce Association visited the Saint-Gobain APAC Headquarters office in Shanghai. Zou awarded Saint-Gobain the bronze medal as the vice president of the association, which marks that Saint-Gobain has officially become an active member of Shanghai E-commerce Association. Meanwhile, Saint-Gobain serves as Chairman of the Manufacturing Committee, one of the six specific committees of the association, in the hope of bringing all the traditional manufacturing industries into the digital era together. Deputy Secretary-General Zou expressed a warm welcome and sincere thanks to Saint-Gobain, as an outstanding representative of foreign companies, joining the association and facilitating its role as a bridge between the government and enterprises. Hanson Wang, Chief Digital Officer and Catherine Liu, Corporate Communication Director of Saint-Gobain Asia Pacific, attended the award ceremony on behalf of Saint-Gobain. Hanson Wang said that the industrial products manufacturing has a completely different e-commerce path from consumer goods manufacturing. There’s still a long way to go to find a path suitable for each of the industries. It calls for the participation and collaboration of talent from all trades and professions. Saint-Gobain is willing to take the lead on this. Shanghai E-commerce Association is a non-profit organization established in 2002 under the guidance of Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Commission.
