Saint-Gobain has been certified “Top Employer Asia-Pacific 2020” at a ceremony held on December 9, 2019 in Singapore. This is the fifth year for Saint-Gobain to be awarded the honor in Asia-Pacific with the participation of our companies in China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. Previously, Saint-Gobain has been certified “Top Employer China 2020” on December 3, 2019 in Shanghai, which is the seventh year for Saint-Gobain to be awarded the honor in China.
The certification was issued by the Top Employer Institute following a validation on the Group's Human Resources policy & strategy and priorities, practices, ownership, measurement and technology support. The Top Employers Institute globally certifies excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people. They believe that optimal employee conditions ensure that people develop themselves personally and professionally. This in turn enables companies to grow and to develop.
The six stages in the certification program included a HR best practices survey, validation of the provided answers, audit from an external auditing firm of the Top Employers Institute's procedures, processes, systems and data, calculate final scores and grant certification, communication of certification outcomes to participants, and insights and feedback session.
As the major part of the certification process, the HR best practices survey covers all aspects of the HR topics, including talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning & development, performance management, leadership development, career & succession management, compensation & benefits, culture and talent acquisition.
Continuously, we work on improving our working conditions, we care about our people’s wellbeing, we commit to develop our talents and provide them with the best career path. With all these awards, we are expecting to retain and attract best talents. This year, only 16 outstanding companies have been certified as Top Employer Asia-Pacific and 99 as Top Employer China.
