Pouring Furnace
Pouring and holding furnace designs are comprised of three key areas: the inductor, throats, and the upper case. Each of these areas faces specific challenges.
Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories selects and supplies high grade refractory materials able to resist slag line corrosion and inductor clogging, ensuring efficient and reliable furnace operation.
A large range of dry vibrated cements (DVC) and castables are available, each designed to suit the operating conditions and specifications of upper case, throat or inductor areas.
